Midwestern Voices and Visions is a collaboration between the Alliance of Artists Communities and seven artists residency programs in the Midwest. Each site offers its own way of serving its artists-in-residence, though all share a common vision that supporting living artists with time and space to create new work is essential to human progress.

Accessibility
Anderson Center, Prairie Center, Ox-Bow, and Ragdale are all accessible to artists in wheelchairs; however, the terrain at Ox-Bow makes it difficult for artists in wheelchairs to fully experience the site.
ArtFarm, Bemis Center, and John Michael Kohler Arts Center are not wheelchair-accessible. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact the Alliance.

Anderson Center for Interdiscplinary Studies

Ox-Bow

Over 600 artists make their way annually to the historic 115-acre campus, nestled in the dunes of Lake Michigan, in an environment to inspire the artists and foster a supportive community of peers. [read more]

At Prairie Center, visual artists, writers, architects, musicians, and other creative people find both a contemplative rural retreat and access to an industrial environment, equipment, and new technologies not readily available. [read more]

Ragdale was founded on the belief that time and space are not luxuries but necessary elements for creating important new work. Add 12 creative individuals to the mix, acres of idyllic prairie, and a family-style dinner each night, and you have Ragdale. [read more]
