I come away from an encounter with the Alliance of Artists Communities with an enhanced appreciation for my colleagues. I have learned something; I have been challenged in my views; I have gained resolve to hone the efforts that further our mission; I have shared ideas with others. I have been reminded that my organization is not alone in its efforts to offer blessed sanctuary to the cultural flamekeepers among us. I carry a greater resolve that what we do matters. For this, the Alliance is essential.

Rocky Mountain / Southwest Regional Meeting

Spring
2006
Snowmass Village, CO

A small but steadfast group converged at Anderson Ranch Arts Center for two days of camaraderie and problem-solving, amidst the gorgeous sunshine and mountain views of Snowmass Village, Colorado. The group was treated to a printmaking workshop by Matt Christie, director of Anderson Ranch’s printmaking program, and amazing meals by Chef Lynn. The group discussions ranged from working with alumni to a session on integrating a residency into other programming, led by outgoing Anderson Ranch director Jim Baker.
