There is a wealth of insight to be gained by paying attention to the great diversity of programs organized to achieve this end. The Alliance’s first Southeast Regional Meeting was held at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts. Brought together by great conversations and good Southern cooking, the group tackled issues of developing an organizational brand, addressing artists’ expectations, and communicating to the public. One of the meeting’s highlights was an Open Studios Tour by Arrowmont’s artists-in-residence, who generously opened their home and workspaces to the attendees.
