Education Program Director | Golden Artist Colors (New Berlin, NY)

The Education Program Director will be responsible for the development and effective execution of a cohesive, global education strategy, supporting the growth of all the Golden Artist Colors brands, both domestically and internationally, by disseminating information about product use, product safety and technical properties of GAC products to professional artists, casual artists, and students.

The Education Program Director oversees:

  • The Education Coordinator with focus on Working Artist and Artist Educator programs
  • Material Application Supervisor and Team of Specialists
  • Williamsburg Oils, QoR Watercolor education programs
  • Development of new education classes
  • Continuous development of new content such as video/blog/tech sheets
  • Onsite and virtual workshops and education opportunities for a broad array of programs held at 188 Bell Road, New Berlin, NY.

The education strategy will be developed in concert with the Marketing Director – and defined by the Corporate Strategic plan.


Requirements:

Education:

B.A. / B.F.A. required, M.F.A. preferred or equivalent

Experience:  10-13 years:

Experience leading education program development process including researching, developing, and disseminating technical/educational content across live and virtual communication formats such as live lecture, hands on workshops, video demonstrations, webinars, newsletters, blog, ebook, white paper. Strong understanding of art materials industry. Ability to lead cross functional content ideation processes, to work with creative services teams to develop content, and to train and inspire teachers. Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices and passion for materials.
