Grants Writer | Atlantic Center for the Arts (New Smyrna Beach, FL)

Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) is seeking a contract position for a Grants Writer. The position will be purely focused on writing and obtaining grants that support ACA's Arts & Wellness programming initiative. The position pays up to $50/hr. (depending on experience and track record) and reports directly to the 2 Co-Executive Directors.

About the Initiative

Atlantic Center for the Arts has launched an innovative Community Arts & Wellness Program with the support of the Pabst Foundation for the Charitable Arts that focuses on bringing artists with an arts and wellness based practice to support the community of New Smyrna Beach.

ACA works with a wide range of artists and partners to establish an ongoing dynamic initiative that aim to increase the health and wellness of patients, artist, and caregivers. As our Program approaches its one year anniversary, it has grown and expanded to reach residents and visitors of all ages—from 3 – 93. Our team of artists, music therapists, art therapists, and volunteers work together to provide meaningful experiences that accentuate well being through the arts.

Rooted in the National Center for Creative Aging’s Creative Caregiving Initiative and Creative Caregiving Guide, Atlantic Center for the Arts programs include, but are not limited to: Weekly visits to nursing homes and assisted living facilities; Providing a caregiver support group that assists both caregivers and their care recipients; Offering Arts & Wellness programming for NSB’s lower income Historic Westside; Offering Arts & Wellness workshops and classes that are open to the public.

About Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) MISSION: Atlantic Center for the Arts is a nonprofit interdisciplinary artists' community and arts education facility dedicated to promoting artistic excellence by providing talented midcareer artists an opportunity to work and collaborate with some of the world's most distinguished contemporary artists in the fields of music composition, and the visual, literary, and performing arts. Community interaction is coordinated through on-site and outreach presentations, workshops and exhibitions.
