Summer Studio Technician and Summer Marketing Intern | Sitka Center for Art and Ecology (Otis, OR)

Located on the central Oregon coast at Cascade Head Ranch near the Salmon River estuary, the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology fosters creativity, intellectual inquiry and education. By helping others discover more about their core creative selves and their connections to nature, the Sitka Center works to fulfill its mission of expanding the relationships between art, nature and humanity. The Sitka Center offers a workshop program each season from May through September with more than 100 classes offered in art, writing, music and ecology. During fall and spring, the Sitka Center sponsors a residency program drawing artists, writers, musicians and natural scientists from all over the world.

The Sitka Center is seeking two summer, seasonal positions to manage the daily operations of the summer workshop program.

Title: Studio Technician
Status: Seasonal, full-time, non-exempt position
Wage: $10.75/hour, shared on-campus housing including; utilities, wi-fi, washer & dryer, access to
kayak and canoe, and (when possible) access to studio space and paid attendance for one
workshop.
Hours: 35-40 hours/week- 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. with one hour lunch break
Work Dates: Mid- May to end of September
Days Off: Monday and Tuesday
Job Objective: Manage the daily operations of the workshops in the summer. Work closely with the Program Manager to update workshop materials and processes.

Title: Summer Marketing Intern
Status: Seasonal internship, full-time
Stipend: $500 per month, pro-rated (depending on start and end dates,) shared on-campus housing including; utilities, wi-fi, washer & dryer, access to kayak and canoe, and (when possible) access to studio space and paid attendance for one workshop.
Hours: 35-40 hours/week- 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. with one hour lunch break
Internship Dates: ☐ Mid-May to mid-July ☐ Mid-July to late Sept ☐ Both sessions
Days off: Wednesday and Thursday
Job Objective: Help manage the daily operations of the summer workshops as well as manage the creation of a variety of digital marketing assets to include photographs, videos, community outreach and social media engagement.
