The Alliance of Artists Communities encourages peer-to-peer collaboration, information sharing, and a strong network of individuals and organizations of all kinds. While small organizations often lack the financial resources to take advantage of professional services, they are rich in their ability to adapt, innovate, and evolve.
The Alliance has created its Cohort Membership to recognize these organizations, and to provide greater support and services to small residency programs interested in building connectivity with each other. Cohort members must apply as a group of three or more small programs that are already working together in some capacity. Some examples of cohorts may include a group of residencies that are addressing areas of common concern together or a national network of small residencies that serve a specific artistic discipline. Note: All residencies run by the National Park Service are eligible to join as Cohort Members.
Cohort Members are residency programs:
- that are engaged with 3 or more other small residency programs as an ongoing peer network, AND
- with budgets of <$150,000/year
If you are interested in joining an existing cohort group or forming your own, please contact us first to make sure you are eligible: info (at) artistcommunities.org.
Cohort Membership includes all the benefits of Organizational Membership, including a profile on the Alliance's website and other promotional opportunities.
