With more than 750 residencies worldwide, this session will explore a variety of residency models--from rural retreats to community-engaged urban incubators to sites that address art and ecology. Find out how to choose which residencies are right for you, what you get besides getting away, how to strengthen your application, and how to find funding. As the service organization for artists' residencies, the Alliance of Artists Communities represents this century-old network of organizations that provide time and space to artists of all disciplines for the creation of art and the exploration of new ideas.
This session is part of the College Art Association's ARTspace sessions, and is free and open to the public.
