Huge Outpouring of Support for Arrowmont Allows School to Save Property

After more than a century on its current campus in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts' future was uncertain when the property went up for sale. "Quite often we ask students who come to Arrowmont and they always say 'It changed my life in unexpected ways,' and we love to hear that and we will continue to change people's lives for the next 100 years," said Bill Griffith, a 27-year employee of Arrowmont and director of its Artist Residency Program.
