Vermont Studio Center Announces New Fellowships for Artists & Writers

More than 55 new fellowships for artists and writers--many with stipends!

At our February 15th, 2016 deadline, we are thrilled to announce more than 55 new fellowships for artists and writers--many with stipends--including:

4 Windgate Craft Artists Fellowships for visual artists working in traditional craft media (clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood) (awards include $1000 stipend)

3 Artists Supporting Artists Fellowships for emerging visual artists, supported by the Wolf Kahn and Emily Mason Foundation (awards include $500 stipend)

3 James Merrill Poetry Fellowships for outstanding American poets with demonstrable financial need (awards include $500 stipend)

2 #GivingTuesday Alumni Fellowships, one each for a visual artist and for a writer who has previously attended a VSC residency

2 Harpo Foundation Native American Fellowships open to Native American visual artists living in the U.S., based on the strength and quality of their work (awards include $500 stipend)

2 Oregon Artist Fellowships open to “mid-career” visual artists in Oregon (awards include $750 stipend)

1 Voices Rising Fellowship for an African American woman fiction writer with demonstrable financial need (award includes $2,000 stipend)

Plus: The Swan Fellowship for an interdisciplinary painter/writer, the VSC / Callaloo Writing Fellowship*, the Civil Society Institute Fellowship*, the Jon Imber Painting Fellowship, the Hedda Sterne Fellowship*, 25 VSC Fellowships open to ALL, and more!
