Dorland Mountain Arts Colony

Non-member

Dorland Mountain Arts Colony is a non-profit artists retreat set on 340 acres along a ridge overlooking the Temecula Valley. If you are an aspiring, emerging or professional artist, music composer, writer, poet, academic, photographer, artisan or craftsman, we encourage you to apply for a one- to 8-week residency at Dorland.

Location

Temecula, California: United States

Dorland Mountain Arts Colony is set on 340 acres along a ridge overlooking the Temecula Valley (1 hour north of San Diego and 2.5 hours southeast of Los Angeles). The colony covers approx 10 acres with the rest of the land left in its natural state. Plants, oak trees, and wildlife abound on the property. The views are incredible which overlook the Temecula Valley to the West and the mountains to the East. Ellen and Robert Dorland homesteaded the property in the 1930s and is now a nationally recognized nature preserve.
