Links Hall

Non-member

Links Hall is a 35 year old nonprofit performance space in Chicago IL. Our mission is to encourage artistic innovation and public engagement by maintaining a facility and providing flexible programming for the research, development and presentation of new work in the performing arts.

Links Hall offer two residency programs, LinkUP our six month developmental residency for chicago based movement artists and our Artistic Associates Curatorial residency.

LinkUP Artists:
Four artists/collaborating partners/groups are selected annually to make Links Hall their creative home for movement research for a period of six months. LinkUP residents receive up to 10 hours of studio time per week as well as a stipend, a paid mentor, and the opportunity to participate in the Art of Rehearsal workshop series to assist in their process and the presentation of their work at the end of their residency. LinkUP residencies include a works in progress viewing and a final split bill showcase.

Artistic Associate Curators:
1-3 Artistic Associate projects are selected annually. Each project is given a stipend (up to $3000) to produce their proposed program which can consists of nine evenings of performances in one of the Links Hall studios. These programs are provided with staff marketing, technical and advisory support and are considered to be Links Hall's primary presentation platform along side our National Performance Network residencies.

The selection for both of these programs will be made by Links Hall’s Programming Committee, comprised of Links Hall staff and board members; Chicago artists and arts administrators; and past LinkUp artists.
