Check out the following grant opportunities specifically suited for artist residency programs:...

Paul Artspace

Emerging Program member

Paul Artspace is a residency program based in St. Louis, Missouri that offers living and studio space for local, national, and international artists. Through providing time and space, Paul Artspace promotes thoughtful discourse and artistic exchanges within the greater cultural community.

Artist/Writer Residency Program:
The residencies are typically four to six weeks long, taking place throughout the year. In addition to the focused studio time provided by the residency, the artists will have opportunities such as arranged studio visits with local arts professionals, invitations to lecture on their work, performing workshops at local institutions and participating in the scheduled open studio day. Artists and writers in residence at Paul Artspace have the opportunity to network and engage with the St. Louis community at large.

Parent Artists Residency Program:
Paul Artspace recognizes the challenges of maintaining a focused practice while fulfilling the responsibilities of parenting. For this reason, Paul Artspace is happy to announce the addition of the Parent Artists Residency to our program offerings. This program will support up to two adults and two children for a period of 4 weeks by providing two private bedrooms and two private studio spaces.

Curatorial Residency Program:
The Curatorial Residency Program will offer a selected curator 4 weeks at Paul Artspace, providing them with a private bedroom and studio space. Food, material and travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.
In addition to conducting their own research, the invited curators are expected to spend 25% of their residency time meeting with St. Louis artists and generating a document of that exchange. The document is open to interpretation and may take the form of an exhibition, a collection of writings, a video format,
etc. Curators are asked to provide a proposal addressing this project in their applications.
