My journey as an artist has taken many turns, but this has profoundly affected the art I created here and will continue to affect the vision of my expression. The passion was renewed and my belief reinforced. This journey will be with me forever.

The Future of Creativity

What role will artists, scientists, thinkers and visionary citizens play in building the communities of the future? Organized by the Alliance of Artists Communities and hosted by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the “Future of Creativity” symposium brought together some of the nation’s leading thinkers to present a range of models of innovative, sustainable communities. Symposium speakers and panelists included Carol Becker, Stanley Crouch, Kahil El’Zabar, Guillermo Gómez-Peña, Dr. Clifford A. Jones, Sr., Bill Joy, T. Allan Comp, Monica Haslip, Ruby Lerner, Chris Quigg, Alan Weisman and Street-Level Youth Media, among others. The book is a narrative report of the proceedings.
