Cuttyhunk Island Artists' Residency - Spring Session

CIAR's Spring Residency Program offers an immersive six-day landscape painting workshop taught by Elizabeth O'Reilly. Residency Dates: June 12 - 18, 2024. This workshop is designed to merge studio practices with the immediacy of painting outdoors. The unique coastal terrain of Cuttyhunk Island is an ideal setting for developing your landscape painting technique and personal style. The workshop is open to all levels of painters working in oils and watercolors.

Participants stay at the historic Avalon Inn, built in 1909. The Inn is perched on the southeastern side of Cuttyhunk, with stunning views of Buzzards Bay and Martha's Vineyard. All meals are provided by our wonderful residency chefs. This residency is designed for artists who are committed to their practice, enjoy painting outdoors, and welcome a communal living experience.
